Liability Release (Adult)

By registering for this Volunteer Event I acknowledge the inherent risks associated with my involvement and by accepting these risks, I am hereby releasing the Illinois River Watershed Partnership (IRWP), the Board of Directors, and any participating staff or event partners from any and all responsibility and liability from any accident, injury, death, or loss, whatsoever, that may result during or in connection with this Volunteer Event. This acceptance and release of liability includes, but is not limited to, activities such as clean-ups, canoeing/kayaking down a flowing river, hiking along the bank of the creek/stream and/or roadway, walking through brush, wading in a flowing stream, or other activities related to this event. I agree to take no action against the Released Parties because of any error, omission, accident, mishap, negligence or willful misconduct arising out of or in connection with the Volunteer Event. I further expressly understand and agree that the foregoing indemnity, release and waiver is intended to be as broad and inclusive as permitted by the laws of the States of Arkansas and Oklahoma and that if any portion thereof is held invalid, it is agreed that the balance shall, notwithstanding, continue in full force and effect. I hereby certify that I am eighteen years of age or older, and I agree to participate as a volunteer in this event.

I hereby certify that I am the adult parent or legal guardian of a minor child under the age of eighteen years, and I consent to his/her participation as a volunteer in partnership with IRWP. I know of, and acknowledge that my child knows of, the risks involved in the Volunteer Event. With a full understanding of the risks involved, I am hereby releasing, indemnify, and hold harmless IRWP, its Board of Directors and participating staff from any and all responsibility and liability for any injury, claim or death that may result during or in connection with the Volunteer Event.
